BEIRUT: Hezbollah warned Wednesday that more bombings similar to the two suicide blasts that targeted the Iranian Embassy in Beirut could occur despite extra security precautions as the caretaker defense minister declared that Lebanon was in danger.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the attack on the embassy.
“An official source stated that the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia strongly denounces and condemns the cowardly terrorist bombings in the Lebanese capital Beirut,” the official Saudi Press Agency reported, adding the government extended condolences to the families of the victims as well as the Lebanese government and people.
A high-ranking Iranian official pledged that his country would not allow “extremist, terrorist takfiri forces” directed by Israel to destabilize Lebanon, emphasizing that the country’s security was intertwined with that of Iran. [Link]
