Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi voiced on Thursday his support for the various calls for holding dialogue in Lebanon away from the threat of arms. He said: “I do not support calls for the resignation of the government.” He made his remarks upon his return to Lebanon from a tour of North America.
One does not demand the resignation of the government or burn tires calling for its collapse whenever disputes erupt in Lebanon, continued the patriarch. “Demands for its resignation are signs that we do not respect anything in Lebanon,” he added. [Link]
