Cheikh Ramy el Khazen nominated at THE FINALISTS OF GREEN MIND AWARD!
Cheikh Ramy el Khazen has been selected part of the top 3 finalists to proceed to the final evaluation in the “Green Mind Individual” category. He competed against thousands of green projects submitted to the Green Mind Award Committee.
Green Mind Award is a yearly prestigious event to encourage the best Green practice of both the public and private sectors. The Ceremony will receive extensive media coverage. It will be aired on LBCI on April 22nd, 2014 on the International Earth Day. Keynotes Speakers in the award ceremony will include HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and Mr Carlos Ghosn Chairman of Nissan.

Information about Cheikh Ramy el Khazen project: The Junkyard
Cheikh Ramy have created a restaurant\bar concept using a combination of containers, architecture & design, as well as some creativity with recycling and container. The location would be in the heart of Beirut squeezed in between old buildings, still carrying scars of war. The architecture review consists of 12 shipping containers spread over 1200sqm land, where some are stacked on top of each other to form a two-story venue, with an industrial lift on the side carrying people all the way up to the roof top. It consists of an interior area, rooftop and outdoor junk garden bar, accommodating up to 700 people. The decoration and the functional areas of the restaurant are all made up of reused/recycled/transformed materials like a 1936 tractor used as a façade for the bar, or the back of a garbage collector truck turned into a 12 person VIP dining area with a small private balcony. The end result is really appealing and one of a kind.

Cheikha Arzi El Khazen bio
According to Salomon Al Rihani´s journal:
Salomon and his cousin Ameen Al Rihani (the famous Lebanese writer) traveled from Merida Mexico (where he has been living for 2 years and had an amazing business) , to New York and then to Europe on june 1, 1912.

They arrived in Europe on the famous and luxurious boat “RMS Luisitania”, they stayed in several cities in the UK visiting the industrial textil firms, and mansions of the Lords in Nottingham.
After a big tour in Europe, they traveled in the famous “Orient Express” to Istambul, and then they arrived to Beirut on september 1, 1912.
And Textually Salomon wrote this lines telling about his marriage with Cheikha Arzi El Khazen:

Carine el Khazen Hadati is a clinical psychologist/psychotherapist trained to help individuals overcome many of life’s stresses and strains.
She brings with her a wealth of experience and learning to her chosen speciality including eight years of clinical experience in a variety of reputable general health care and psychiatric facilities in the UK, Paris & Lebanon. She has a Masters Degree in Clinical & Psychopathological Psychology (University of Saint Joseph, Lebanon), a post-graduate degree (DESS) in Clinical & Psychopathological Psychology (University of Sorbonne, Paris V), and a diploma in Profound Studies (DEA) in Clinical Psychopathology (University of Jussieu, Paris VI). She is an international affiliate to the Amercan Psychological Association –APA-, a member of the French Psychology Society (Societé Française de Psychologie –SFP-) and the Lebanese Psychological Association –LPA-. In addition to that, being an Eating-Disorder specialist, Carine is the UAE representative of MEEDA (the Middle East Eating Disorder Association).
After 8 years at the GMC clinics in Dubai, Carine recently joined the American Center for Psychiatry and Neurology (Dubai branch) where she has set up one of the only units in the Middle East for the treatment of Eating Disorders.
